They also have a small selection of sculpture and pottery, plus some excellent photographic choices. I've been to a few of the photo shows --- made me appreciate the difference between "darn, I could have taken that picture" and real photographic art!
If you stop in, be sure to add your email to their list so they can keep you informed on the upcoming shows and the opening receptions. The opening receptions are usually well-attended and you'll get to meet a lot of the local and not-so-local art crowd. It's a lot of fun looking at the art, talking to the artist, finding out what they were thinking when they painted their piece.
It's really cool having an "uptown" gallery out here in Fayette County. The couple who own it, Greg & Jennifer Blair, are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and Greg is an artist of note, also!
Not a big art fan? They are framers, too. It takes a special eye to pick just the right frame and matte for a photo or piece of art. Greg does the framing and if you get into a conversation with him you'll soon discover that framing is an art, too!
I love stopping in to see what's new on the walls. It's my little treat and a nice break from the mundane.
